What are my payment options?

All the prices on the CAD-Architect.net website are shown in US Dollars, but can be set to your local currency on the payment page.

There are five CAD categories on CAD-Architect.net. They are: CAD Symbols, CAD Colour symbols, CAD Details, CAD Drawings & CAD Building types. The various licenses / passes are not upgrades to one another but rather provides users access to different download areas. Compare licenses here.
For how long is the license valid?
Licenses are valid for 1-6 months, depending on type, during which time you can download as many files as you like depending on your license type.
What are the advantages of getting a 'Gold Pass' on CAD Architect?
Gold license holders have full access to the professional Cad Blocks, Colour CAD Symbols, and CAD drawings sections of the website. We are the only CAD resource website with colour rendered symbols.

Are the symbols, drawings and designs suitable for use anywhere in the world?
All the drawings on CAD-Architect.net were designed by architects or professional architectural designers. Even though the CAD information on the website would be useful anywhere in the world, CAD-architect.net specifically disclaims any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular use. CAD-architect.net cannot warrant that the use of these drawings will be to the users' specifications or error free. Any person(s) or organization(s) making use of or relying upon this data is responsible for confirming its accuracy and completeness according to their local standards.
What units of measure are used?
The plans are drawn in metric units and are where applicable are also mostly dimensioned in millimetres. These can however easily be converted to Imperial units (Feet and Inches). See how to convert units below.
Do I need special software or hardware to view / use the CAD files on CAD-Architect.net?
The files on our website are currently provided in AutoCAD DWG version 2007. To open or manipulate the DWG (AutoCAD) files you will require AutoCAD software or other CAD / vector software capable of importing DWG files. AutoCAD DWG is a very popular vector format and most CAD and graphic software packages can open/import DWG format files.
What is a *.dwg file?
DWG (drawing) is an AutoCAD (Computer Aided Design) file format used for storing 2D or 3D vector design data and metadata. It is one of the most commonly used CAD data formats, which is also supported by IntelliCAD, PowerCAD, DraftSight (Free), Caddie, SmartDraw, TurboCAD and several other CAD & graphic software applications. The DWG format has been updated several times. Please note that the newer DWG versions can read files created in older versions, but the older versions cannot read newer ones.
What *.dwg format is used for the files on CAD-Architect.net?
All of the files on our website are saved in AutoCAD 2007 DWG format. Earlier versions of AutoCAD will not be able to open most of the files as some of the new features in AutoCAD 2007 or later will not be backward compatible with the older versions.
What if I have an earlier version of AutoCAD?
If you have a version of AutoCAD which is older than AutoCAD 2007, with Autodesk's FREE DWG TrueView software you can now convert all the AutoCAD 2007 files on this website to an older format DWG files for use in your version (all versions) of AutoCAD or other CAD software. How do I convert metric (mm) dimensions to imperial (inches) in AutoCAD?
Open the "Dimension" toolbar and click on "Dimension settings" to open the "Dimension settings" dialogue box. Select dimstyle in use by clicking the white window on the left and select "Modify". Click on the "Primary units" tab and set the "Unit format" drop down menu to "Architectural" and the precision to 0'-0". Save the changes and the existing dimensions will be displayed in imperial units.
How do I "hard convert" a drawing from metric to imperial units?
The unit type typically used in U.S.A. is known as "Imperial" units (feet & inches). Other countries use the "SI" or Metric system for drawing units. The drawings on our website is drawn in metric units. To scale the objects in the drawing from mm to inch or vice versa, set the drawing to your desired units and simply select everything in the drawing and use the scale command to resize everything to your desired measurement unit.
